Live in Canada and trying to purchase books, seem likes it get stuck
New version crashes when browsing and gets stuck when trying to open a book. Useless until a new update is released.
First of all, this is just awful, boring, unstable, non-intuitive, buggy, slow, heavy and annoying app. Its kind of ugly too, and theres no iPhone version or reading themes (white on black, sepia etc.). Whats the rush? Why did you release such an app? I mean, if you had some books ready for sale Id understand the early release.. But there are so little books to choose from! Get down to earth, let go of your ego and sell your books on the iBooks or kindle stores. Or do a better job copying them: you dont need to invent anything - just recreate the same UI. Lame.
First of all, I think its wonderful theres an app that will allow us to easily purchase and read books in Hebrew on the iPad, so kudos for the intentions. This app specifically, is immature - the user interface is primitive at best (no font selection, no background selection - I use sepia on both iBooks and the Kindle app since its easier on my eyes). The app is slow to open and the first few pages for some reason, are very slow to turn. Ive been trying to purchase a book (Sipurai Zaam by Shalom Aleichem) from within the app. Initially the price shows up as $10.95. Then as 0. But regardless, for the last 10 minutes all I get is a spinning wheel. Is it possible that the in-app purchase doesnt work and you can only buy books on their website (that would be an interesting way to cut Apple out of their share - make in-app purchases theoretically available but practically so bad you have to go to the website and buy it there: interesting but likely illegal). Anyway - the wheel has been spinning for the last 15 minutes now and theres no way to stop it other than kill the app. Ill come back in a few months when the next and less buggy version is out...
This has been the worst app in my experience! I was billed for the purchases, and the books did not download. The support is nonexistent, and the form on the web does not work, using either the computer or the iPad. The phones given for support do not provide any option, or give number that does not respond. Contacting Newpan, which is supposed to provide support, I was told its not their problem and to contact e-vrit--classic runaround In other words, there is NO way to get support. I have tried to restart the iPad, to redownload the app - nothing doing. I spent a Lot of money for the books and cannot get them! SUMMARY: Application does not work AT ALL Support does not work at all, cannot be contacted. Billed for items that I cannot get.
